Only five percent of Filipino women consider themselves beautiful, according to a study released yesterday.
But despite this, the study...concluded that "Filipinas exhibit a strong sense of happiness and satisfaction with their bodies and their lives."
"When it comes specifically to beauty, again satisfaction varies by country, and to some degree by marriage and children. Filipinas top the beauty happiness scale with 87 percent saying that they are satisfied with their beauty..."

so does that mean they do not think themselves beautiful, but they dont find the need to be beautiful either? that is so cool, because then, they will think that they shall be scared to lose their beauty either.
What better than to be beautiful (I think Filipino women are very good looking), and not to know that or care a damn!
yeah Neha, only a FEW think they're BEAUTIFUL..
that's because our minds have been brainwashed by the media that BEAUTY equals a fair complexion, above 5'4" height, and a voluptuous figure.
what's good is that in spite of not being categorized as "beautiful", we filipinas are HAPPY with our color, and with life in general. being in a third world taught us to be more resilient and taught us to find humor even in difficult situations!

t-p: i'm really happy foreign people view us differently. i wish the other 95% of my race could see themselves through your eyes.
